Over the past couple of days I have been switching out my summer flowers for fall mums, pumpkins, and gourds

I have also been shopping for some new Halloween decor for our front porch. I love this time of year and always enjoy decorating for the season. According to our HOA’s newsletter we just received, our neighborhood receives over 800 children on Halloween. Since we do have so many visitors I like to make everything special for the occasion. We don’t do the scary thing, but I do like to make it festive.

I am also planning to take a couple of afternoons to shoot Fall/Halloween mini-sessions this year, which is another reason I have been shopping for some new decorations. I plan to have two sets for families to choose from. One will be more of a cute fall scene with a pumpkin stand setup and the other will be a (not too) spooky Halloween theme. I am hopeful to put them together this weekend so I can take some shots for my ad. I will be sure to share so you can see how it all came together.

This leopard wrap dress is one I ordered from Mango a couple of months for this fall and winter. I just love the statement it makes! I wore it to the office earlier this week and it was quite comfortable. One thing I love so much about dresses is their one and done simplicity. I know this one will look great with a blazer for meetings, and you can bet I will be styling it with a denim jacket and booties for a more casual look.

Do you decorate the outside of your home for Halloween or just for the fall season, in general?

I am looking for Fabulous Friday Co-Hosts! It’s a great way to have your blog featured and be introduced to a new audience. If you are interested just send me a quick line ∼ jennie@apocketfulofpolkadots.com.
Last week’s most clicked link was from Chez Mirielle as she shared some fab thrift store finds. My pick is from Ruth of My Little Nest in this gorgeous midi skirt.
