Pom Pom Caterpillar Necklaces
I love perusing Kmart for craft supplies and I came across these Pom Pom beads.
Basically they are pom poms with a plastic insert so you can thread them onto a piece of string.
I’m always looking for easy craft ideas to entertain my 5 year old. It also helps that it’s spring and we have been talking about flowers and insects. Of great interest is how caterpillars turn into beautiful butterflies.

All you need to make these necklaces are
Pom Pom Beads (available at Kmart)StringCraft GlueGoogley EyesInstructions Thread your pom poms onto the string, ensuring the larger pom pom is placed last or first to make the head of the caterpillar. If the plastic insert makes it hard to thread your string, take out the plastic tubing in the pom pom. The inner hole is large enough to thread your string through.
2. Glue googley eyes to the larger pom pom.
3. Tie the ends and create a necklace.
You can make a few designs and layer the necklaces.
