This was a super busy week and I am so glad for the upcoming weekend so I can catch my breath
I know next week is not going to slow down by any means, so I am just going to enjoy the down time while I can. Although, I will be dog-sitting Blue this weekend, so she will certainly keep me on my toes. Catahoula Leopard dogs are pretty active and need a lot of exercise to keep them from growing bored and in trouble. Not to mention the kitties will not be happy having their space invaded, so that will be fun. Speaking of fun, one fun thing that happened this week (and you may have seen this on my social media) is that Finn turned two and we had a little celebration for him. What you don’t see is Jack and Scout also sitting at the table sniffing around wondering where their tuna is – lol! You can bet they were not left out.
I picked up this cute diagonal stripe top a few weeks ago from Loft Outlet. There is an outlet mall less than five minutes from our home and that can be trouble… Anyway, I really like the fact it has so many colorful stripes and is a tummy hiding blouson style. There are so many colors to choose from I had a little difficulty deciding what direction I wanted to style this top the first time. My first thought was navy ankle pants, but they were in the laundry, so I went with these dusty rose pants instead.
OK, about these pants. I originally purchased the previously mentioned navy pants and loved everything about them and have worn them several times. Because of that I went online and ordered the same pants in this dusty rose color. Well, I guess the fabric is not the same because the more I went about my day the looser they became, as evidenced in these photos. Not the most flattering by the end of the day.
Sometimes I struggle with purchasing slim pants for work. On the one hand, I don’t want pants that look like they are painted on. On the other, I don’t want pants that look all stretched out and too loose like these did, either. Y’all, I am just telling you, I had a big ole case of saggy butt going on. It can be difficult to tell when the fabric has some stretch what the end result is going to be once worn. Since I do like the color I will alter these and see if I can make them work. Do you have any tips to share in this area?
