A stunning amethyst necklace from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This gorgeous necklace is comprised of 22 large amethyst stones that are hand set in 14kt gold. The graduated amethyst stones exhibit a vibrant natural purple color and are faceted along the face and back, catching the light beautifully when worn. Each rests in a pinched bezel setting with an open back, and is linked with small gold ring connectors in between. The piece fastens with a push clasp hidden within the final amethyst link. When worn, it drapes beautifully at the neckline, making an outstanding statement piece!
