I have loved gingko leaves from the moment I first saw them. It took me forever to think to make them from tin.
This piece starts with a plain piece of green tin that I cut, file, finish smooth and then etch in vein lines. Hammering the edge creates the final feathered effect making for a bit more organic and realistic. The stem of the leaf is rolled and strung on a steel ring and a matching tin bead is used as the bail.
Not in love with bright green? This pendant can be made from almost any color you can dream up. My tin collection is THAT vast! Just leave a message of the color you would like and I'll get started making it.
The pendant is about 2.25" (57mm) wide and strung on a simple 18" (56cm) long, 1.2mm silver finish chain with a standard spring ring clasp.
All adaptive reuse pieces come to you neatly displayed on an upcycled card ready for gift-giving.
